Wow, we are back from the Portland International Quilt Market.  What a time we had.   Here are a few highlights.

For Rick our first stop was the Adornit booth.  We finally had the privilege of meeting the “Adornit Girls.”  It was great to finally put faces to those wonderful women.  We enjoyed talking with them.   All you Adornit fans will be happy to hear that they all embrace the Western Lifestyle  and plan to continue having western themed fabric lines.  The new line should be out beginning of 2014.

Onto Log Cabin Quiltworks booth to see her new book “Adventures In Landscape Quilting” and her new quilt patterns.   For more details on the book and patterns go to the blog featuring June Jaeger.

Off to an appointment with EE Schenck and a quick preview of the new Soho Bandana from Red Rooster Fabrics & Crossroads Denim from James Thompson.  Go to http://www.indygojunction.comto see these two new lines. Also talked to Stan about a western fabric group, he said the next western group would be in flannel.  Hurray!

I stopped by Shannon Fabrics and was so surprised to a display with a western theme.  “My Lil` Buckaroo” is a western inspired theme done up in Cuddle (similar to Minky).  Not only will the line be great for all those little buckaroos, but we adults will love the softer side of the western lifestyle too.  The group comes in a blue, red and tan colorway.  The Cuddle just made you want to snuggle in for a long nap.

We had such a great time at Quilt Market and I am excited to say that there are new western lines coming all summer and into the fall. Stay tuned!
