Greetings from The Prairie Girls,
 
Well, we survived the summer and the wedding!  The wedding was a great success; Hayley and Scott had their "fairytale wedding".  Unfortunately, Kathy developed a viral liver infection after the wedding, which kept her down for about a month.  So, we are finally catching up on our long list of things to do (well, do you really ever catch up?)
 
We are still working on our new quilt shop location in Powell Butte.  At the moment we are in the process of having a septic system designed.  None of us realized how slow this process would be.  We will continue to keep you posted.
 
We are working on our new classes for the winter schedule. Patty and Michelle will each be two paper-piecing classes; Patty’s to entice the very beginner and Michelle’s to entice the more advanced student.  Sherry has been having so much fun with her pieced quilt backs that we have asked her to teach a class around her wonderful and colorful backs.  She will also be teaching a scrappy quilt class that will help you use up your stash.  For the new quilters, Patti will be offering the Turning Twenty class, which has squares and rectangles only.  We are also working on getting Dotha to teach a class on creating a neutral quilt project.  She is also planning a Stack n Whack class.  Kathy will also be offering a pillowcase class.  Free sew Fridays will continue through the winter.  They are always the first and third Friday of every month. 
  
We have recently teamed up with Perfect Border, which provides an online border design service.  You can select artwork from over 1000 images, and print the images all from home.  Stop by and pick up your promo coupon and see the store samples.  The Perfect Borders are great for the home quilter as well as the long arm quilters.  You can also check out the www.perfectborders.com website.
 
Don't forget our Winterfest Sale, which is December 27-29, 2007.  The sale includes fabric, books, notions, patterns, gifts and kits. 1/2 yd cuts or more of fabric will be 30% off. Classes and consignment items will not be on sale.  Come join us for cookies and a hot beverage during our sale.
